Jacer’s Racers is a charitable event created to raise donations for Living Alternatives in memory of Jace Garrett Steinhaus. Please join us as we celebrate the life of this remarkable boy.
Jace was with us for 12 weeks and 2 days. Let’s celebrate his life 12 weeks since he left us.
Saturday, September 6, 2008, 9:00am - 12:00pm at
Sugar Land Memorial Park
(Intersection of Commonwealth Blvd. and University Blvd.)
We will have 2.5K, 5K, and 10K events, however everyone is welcome to attend, even if you do not plan to participate in the Walk/Run.
T-shirts will be provided for everyone who participates in the 2.5K, 5K, or 10K.
Please fill out the registration form if you plan to attend. Registration will remain open through August 22nd
Participants in Run/Walk: to help support this event, a $5 registration fee will be required.

All payments not used to fund the event will be donated to Living Alternatives.
The main goal of this event is to gather donations for an organization that deals with young women in unplanned pregnancies every day. If you would like to donate to Living Alternatives, please bring cash or a check to the event. All checks should be made out to Living Alternatives.
“Jace Garrett Steinhaus was born on March 20th, 2008 with a genetic disorder most commonly known as Trisomy 18. Our little miracle lived among us and blessed our lives for almost three months, and then he went home to be with the Lord on June 14th, 2008. Jace’s short life was a struggle, but during his time here, God used him to show us the beauty of life, the importance of living each day to the fullest, and ultimately, the unfathomable glory of heaven. Because of Jace’s life, those close to him will never be the same. We want you all to help us celebrate the life and testimony of our little Jace Garrett by joining us for a fun 2.5K and 5K event.
Through our journey with little Jace, we’ve seen that every single life is precious and that every child has been made by God for a purpose. Although we were certainly pro-life before the birth of Jace, our son made us realize even more clearly the spiritual and emotional destruction that comes with taking the lives of unborn babies through abortion. Proceeds from the Jacer’s Racers event will go to a Christian organization called Living Alternatives. Living Alternatives provides homes for women with unplanned pregnancies; it teaches women how to care for their babies, helps them finish school and start careers, and ultimately shows them the healing love of Christ as an alternative to going down the abortion path. Some friends of ours, Brad and Heather Crain, are involved with a Living Alternatives home in Tyler, Texas, and we personally give to their ministry efforts with this organization.
